The WebsPlanet platform is a PHP5 web-based layout for website generating applications. The platform was built using the most advanced tools on the internet today and designed to ensure that every platform section is an independent object that can be installed or removed by demand and be constantly updated and extended with new objects in order to always be on the front line of internet technology.
Applications built with the platform are basically sets of rules determining what platform objects are included within the application and how these objects behave. Such objects can be
- Design–related:Template objects, free design objects, objects consisting of template and free design elements, dynamic design elements, etc.
- Functionality–related: Content access rules, static/dynamic elements and positioning, which modules packages to create and what modules to include in them, rules set for multi-site management, etc.
- Any other platform objects: Interfaces, permissions, branding, domain, menus, administration panels, advanced services, languages, reports, premium services, etc.
Currently there are six main website building applications built using the platform. There are two additional applications under development. While each of these applications answers to the different needs of different website building organizations, graphic designers and end users, they were all built using the same platform and share all of its advanced features and abilities. As a result of the common platform, a site can be transferred from one application to another, and thus transform a template-based website to a freely designed one.
